Battlefield Bad Company: Should I buy it? CoD4 is my game

The question I wish to ask all readers that come here is “Battlefield Bad Company: Should I buy it? The reason I ask this is because I have downloaded the demo version when it was first available and must say was quite impressed, but to me it does not touch Call of Duty 4 (CoD4). Now maybe I say this because I have played CoD4 so much that I have become part of it, the way the game is, the way the game plays, the controls are easy to follow because it is second nature.

Now am I pushing Battlefield Bad Company aside because it is new, the controls are something to get used too, so many things are swaying me away from this new game. Yes it is true demos are no where near as good as the real full game, for example the racing game “GRID” was complete crap when I downloaded the demo, but I bought the full game and say it is much better by a log shot to that of Gran Turismo.

I roughly play CoD4 for an hour each night and love the game to pieces, but am not sure if I should buy Battlefield Bad Company. Please tell me all the good and bad points about Battlefield Bad Company and let me know if I should buy this game, oh and please if you can compare Battlefield Bad Company and Call of Duty 4.

Cannot wait to see what everyone has to say, if the majority say buy it, then I will do just that.

For those who wish to buy this game and of course I will be buying from here if you lot say go for it then please visit Play.com

I bought bad company and I’ve had CoD4 since release. Honestly, I still prefer CoD4(Though been playing MGS4 a ton) The controls are the same except a few things but it takes no more than maybe 20 minutes to get used to them from CoD4. The game is pretty imbalanced and unless you’re in a vehicle you’re pretty much screwed, because unlike the other BF’s, there isn’t even any cover to hide from those devastating tank shots and those cheap(No shake like CoD4) sniper headshots. The guns are easy to use, there’s no recoil control and infinite range, and there’s a serious lack of communication compared to those used to playing the PC Battlefield games.

In all, I would say keep with CoD4 until a bigger and better games, or at least until some of the balance issues or conquest mode(Gold rush is original, but it gets old really fast) as well as some bugs like freezing from using a headset are fixed in the game. Hope this helps.

Well Iprefer BBC, its more expansive than COD4, has vehicles and teh world is generally a bit bigger.

It is a little buggy at the moment but I think these (mentioned elswhere) issues, will be ironed out.

I have been looking for a proper PC Batllefield type game on PS3 for ages. This is the closest thing we have (so far!). I lke it 8/10
