Microsoft Price Drop: 20GB Xbox 360 for $299, PS3 still better

Don’t care what anyone says but the Sony PS3 is still much better than the Microsoft Xbox 360, I should know I have both. I have said before about why I no longer like the Xbox.

The latest news in is that Microsoft are cutting the price of the 20GB Xbox 360 down to $299, this is obviously down to “While Stocks Lasts”, the reason behind the price-drop is because the 20GB version will discontinue for the newly announced 60GB model.

Now you are probably wondering “Why the hell are you writing about a 360 when this is a PS3 site? Well come on think about it, I want everyone to know that the price drop will have no effect over the PS3.

The PS3 recently had a price drop of the discontinued 60GB PS3 from $499 to $399, then Sony introduced the much larger capacity machine for $499, ok a little more expensive than the Xbox 360 but there is a reason for this, yes you got it, the Playstation 3 is a much superior machine.

Personally I would not pay £50 for an Xbox 360, call me a dick-head call me what you want, I have both machines and I know what I would choose, must admit and I have to say sorry in advance, I do prefer the online gaming a little better on the Xbox, seems to run a bit smoother.

Overall the PS3 is the winner here even with Microsoft doing price cuts after price cuts.

Once the old 20GB models has been flushed, prices will return to the current line-up of $349 for the 60GB Premium model, $279 for the Arcade version (without hard drive), and $450 for the 80GB Elite model. The new 60GB model will be available starting in August.

Do you really think Microsoft the price cut would really make a difference, the PS3 is the console to buy so stop being stupid.
