This is quite disturbing news really, especially if you are a Gran Turismo fan. We all liked Gran Turismo 5 prologue and after hearing the latest news from Joystiq that we may not even see GT5 before 2010 is a right kick in the nuts.
Personally we prefer Grid but everyone to their own, do not get us wrong we will still get GT5 but come on guys 2010 is a long way off, what the hell are you all playing at.
What are the real reasons, not the crappy rumour reasons why we will not see this racing game for a long time?
Kazunori Yamauchi who is the creator of Gran Turismo had an interview with Joystiq and it was revealed that the full version of GT5 might not even release before 2010.
They said that they will continue to expand Prologue instead for now, the will give Prologue more cars, more tracks and many more features.
A new Prologue update is planned for the near future apparently, ok so what if we will see an update for Prologue, the question is “Will it be free?

This surely goes to show just how complex the PS3 can be to program for, just to get games to look better than most of the crap on PS3.
While I certainly cringe at a 2010 release date for the full version, I would rather they utilize the extra time to improve the track side detail, as the cars look way too stunning against the sometimes very flat track textures.
That being said, Polyphony Digital have always had delay after delay with the GT games, so it comes as no real suprise.
