The reason we are asking this question is because according to MCV president Kaz Hirai from Sony Computer Entertainment he said PlayStation 3’s first-party exclusive titles are “the best out there”. We want to look into this further because we have said this all along.
Surely rivals cannot compete against the PlayStation 3 exclusives, when you think about the exclusive front being it downloadable or not is one of the main strengths the PS3 has, Kaz Hirai also said that they have a proven this over and over again and that the power of its internal worldwide studios “”Our first-party product is obviously platform exclusive and is the best out there.
“We’ve talked about a raft of great titles, whether that’s Little Big Planet, Resistance 2, SOCOM, God of War 3, Killzone 2, MaG, and Motorstorm: Pacific Rift.”
Now when you talk about the Blu-Ray, you know there is a lot of capacity there and things can only get better.
Please answer this for PS3 Daily “Do you think the PS3 has the best exclusive titles that leave the likes of Xbox 360 behind?

sorry but i just laughed at the list of games mentioned -
LBP - not out yet
Resistance 2 - not out yet
SOCOM - not out yet
GOW3 - not out yet
killzone2 - not out yet
MaG - definitely not out yet
Motorstorm 2? - thats out - oh wait! - not out yet
Sony has YET to produce an AAA title that has made me glad to own a PS3 - Uncharted was ok - but after the “EPIC” 7 hours it took to finish? - no thanks.
both my ps3 and my Wii do nothing but collect dust - xbox has waaaay too many great games to make me wanna go back to Sony - MGS4 was great for an interactive movie ( i am a big sdolid snake fan but COME ON!!!)
Gears of War 1 - was waaaaay better than resistance, killzone 1 was rubbish 2 will be the same, FFXIII is now on 360 as well, Getaway 3 has been cancelled - FABLE2 on 360 will destroy ALL other RPGS on PS3 - PLUS fallout 3 on 360 will have exclusive DLC (not to mention the GTA4 DLC thats coming)
Sorry but this article is rubbish - OBVIOUSLY if you ask a Sony Employee which Exclusives they want from the competition they are going to say - “none - we dont need them”
Has any PS3 game sold as many copies as Halo3? - No chance and to be honest -Halo3 was as lame, repetitive and boring as Halo 1 and 2!
Sorry guys - PS2 rocked! - PS1 was awesome -but you have to admit - 360 has the edge over PS3 - FOR now at least…
(and from what ive read/seen/heard it will prob stay that way till sony pull their fingers out andrelease some games worth having)
peace =-p

I think that the PS3 definitely has titles like none found on the Xbox 360. Sony demonstrates that it can engineer a superb system and develop stunning first party software. Bluray only adds to this equation since it gives the developer so much more than traditional disk technologies.

Sorry for the above post, I am a retarded Microsoft fanboy and couldn’t control myself. I’ll try to keep my biased, distorted, and misinformation to myself.

Yep. I’ll take PS3 exclusives anyday over the 360. Games like Metal Gear Solid 4, Heveanly Sword, Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, Motorstorm, Lair, Resistance, SingStar, Folklore, Hot Shots Golf, Gran Turismo 5, Eye of Judgement… Then you got PSN games like Calling All Cars, Super Stardust HD, Blast Factor, 1942, Siren, Warhawk… Not only the games are better, the interface’s graphics is better, the responsive is better, the movie play-back is better, the fact you can upgrade your internal hard drive with any 2.5 SATA hard drives out there in the market, you can backup / restore your data, half the videos are in full 1080p…
Previous generations I was a Sega Saturn fanboy, Dreamcast/Xbox fanboy and this generation Playstation 3 fanboy. It’s only a matter of time that PS3 will beat out the 360 this generation, I don’t really consider Wii a true next-gen system since they still use the crappy 480p graphics… but in terms of total sales, I think it’ll be neck to neck with the PS3.

i agree with camabob, althought i do think killzone and motorstorm 2 will be mint, its about time that they bring a game out that has offline play (motorstorm2) which is why i think that will be a great game. Although xbox has the slight edge with they’re live (even though paying for it is stupid) i think sony will work hard to top it for free, i mean mag may be crap, but it will give other devs the view to make a game with huge multiplayer, if a sony person reads this i think you should apply the huge multiplayer to a game like battlefield but set it on D-day, now that would be sooooo freakin cool and epic!
Lets face it, micro soft gets they’re huge wallet out all the time and will buy all exclusives and dlc. But until games start making games bigger than dvd capacity everything will go on xbox, final fantasy is part owned by sony and its now on xbox, i think sony doesn’t care that xbox has everything and more because they have faith that ps3 will go to the top, and i admire that and i’m glad i got one.
if alot of that makes no sense i will understand, i’m TIRED lol

also i think xbox will release a new console soon, and it wouldn’t surprise me if it had blue ray. They don’t care if they fuck over 360 owners because they’re all about the money. If they did bring it out i can only see it selling if they do what sony did and sell it for less than the production price, or they miss vital parts like the 360 to rush it and make it cheap.
theres more i could add but i can’t be arsed now

The PS3 will begin to show how it is better than the 360 when FF13 is released. For ps3 owners it will be a 40gb (at least) blue ray disk.
For 360 it will be several 8.5gb dvd disks or having to buy the game with a hard drive for it. Whilst I see through Sony’s optimistic BS about their exclusive titles, i still don’t regret cutting myself from the rest of the herd and getting a console which will be as good as microsoft’s NEXT console.

I really don’t get tired of saying it… I think Sony made a huge mistake by putting a Blu-Ray on the PS3. It’s 2x, and the transfer rate is slower as that of the DVD on the Xbox 360, that’s why you have to install games. Sony made that move and payed to the movie studios for exclusivity with the Blu-Ray (which he hasn’t with games) because they know the movie industry can get them lot more money as more people buy movies than video games. They learnt that from their experience with Toshiba and the DVD, so they wanted their huge piece of cake. If you see how everything has been told about the PS3 it’s always “The best Blu-Ray player out there”, when the PS2 was all about great games and gaming experience. I think Microsoft made a mistake by developing their own GPU (what causes RRoD), but I also think that Sony made a mistake by adding a not yet mature technology. Read a little bit on the internet, Blu-ray victory over HD-DVD was not a thing of fate, consumer preference or one format better than the other. Sony payed for that. So I don’t see why it’s wrong if Microsoft pays for some exclusives if we can get Gears of War, or if we will be able to play FF XIII, on our Xbox 360’s. I think they are doing the right thing despite what lots of people think of them. I hope they continue that way. And I also hope that PS3 can get soon the right direction, because for me, what Sony did with video game industry with help from PS and PS2 was great and should follow that way. They just need to focus more on games and stop selling the “best Blu-Ray player” and sell instead “the best video game library”. That would change things.

Are you kidding me? LOL…….is hasn’t done them a lick of good here in the US, half the people here don’t even know that there is a PS3. They are too busy with their Wii and 360 to care. 95% of Americans DON”T have a HDTV, and the ones that do about 3 % don’t have 1080p. That’s why people are content with upscaling dvd players, they don’t want another format. Digital downloads are another story. Netflix is HUGE, and people can watch what they wanna watch right now through a set top box or an xbox 360 starting this Fall. . . Nice.

well i believe that the blue-ray dics dose not get used to its full use, i mean we are getting games out that the off line part can be done in a day or too. The games are to short for the money we pay, and only in 720p and thats what most of them come out in. You got more for your money on the ps2 games.
