The all new LittleBigPlanet v1.01 patch that hit Europe yesterday removes the song that got banned because of controversial content, the song called Tapha Niang by Toumani Diabaté is still on the game.
The song is in the game still but apparently the controversial content part has been removed, or indeed covered up with a loop of some sort. Those in North America on the other hand have not got this patch as far as we can tell.
Update: It seems like Europe has had the LittleBigPlanet v1.01 patch early than expected, Eurogamer say’s that the new patch adds more costumes and concerns certain online functions, the music will indeed be patched in a second update.

BIG DEAL
I have had enough LBP BS.
was pumped about it, I waited for it once
they delayed it again.
I’m out.

That’s a bit harsh. While I think the reason for the delay was lame, I fully understand why they had to. And besides, after having to recall and repress all of those discs, the game was only delayed by a week or so. That’s pretty impressive.
I bet those new costumes might be the Old Snake and Sephiroth.
