I have started to play Fallout 3 on the Sony PS3 (Obviously) and must say first impressions is not looking good, this is only a quick review and the real long one will come soon after we have played it a little more.
For me and I have to be honest Fallout 3 is rubbish or is it indeed one of those games you have to get into, well so far I have only played the game for a few hours so not a lot of time as of yet and I am on the edge with this one.
Yes the game starts of with a short clip where you are born and your dad is looking down on you and your poor mum dies next to you after giving birth, you get the choice of being either male or female and you can choose your own name, all of a sudden one year on you are in Vault 101, once you reach 10 you have to learn a few things like for example the G.L.O.A.T test which is a multiple answer test which will decide what job would suit you.
Anyway the game goes on and I will not say much about it just yet, you do however leave the Vault which is a place where you are born and where you should die, anyway you leave Vault 101 to go on the search for your father who has disappeared from the Vault.
I will go into great detail about the towns and areas and the gameplay another time, for me the game is pretty good where you get the chance to speak with people, a box will pop up on the screen giving you multiple questions to ask (Pick the right ones though), personally the graphics are pathetic.
I can remember though I said that MGS4 was rubbish then after a day or so of playing it I thought it was one of the best games I have ever played, is Fallout 3 going to be one of these games, will I be pulled in and have a problem putting down the controller, will this game take over my life, so many questions that will be answered over the next week or so.
All in all not that impressed yet but time will tell. Whilst you wait for my full hands-on review please let me know what you think of Fallout 3.

Fallout 3 is the best game ive ever played on a console - EVER.
I loved the PC originals and i have to see they were fantastic but this is really something else…
Yews the graphics arent perfect (on the PS3 versionlol) but the sheer scope of the wasteland - the things you can find and do - the VATS system is truly revoltutionary and frankly it sounds as though u are trying tio play it as a FPS as opposed to the incredibly deep RPG that it actually is.
Frankly if you dot enjoy Fallout for what it is - the deepest, most fully realised, action packed RPG that it is. - you dont deserve to play it.
EVERYONE who can only afford 1 or 2 games this xmas should get Fallout 3 - im 75 hours into my game - still havent started the main quest - and not one minute of it has been boring.
Truly amazing.
The reviwewer in my opinion knows the game is of a high quality but as the traffic he gets to the site comes from hardcore sony fanboys or xbox fanboy s that come on to complain about the sensationalist comments purelky tio tget traffic…
much like this header - sensationalist rubbish to get traffic - get a real job.

I am only saying what i think of the game so far, i will bring the full review soon. It is not about the traffic as i do this just for fun. You do not see any advertisments anywhere so it is not for the money. This is only my first impressions so far with the little time i have played with it.

fair enough mate - but you should have called the article - Fallout 3 First Impressions….
Cos - the way it says - Not Looking Good - obviously anyone who reads the header on google news after typing Fallout in the search bar will go to this article (as its second on the list of results) and read your negative view of the game thus far.
I just think its irresponsible to be honest - what if someone who hadnt bought the game yet was looking to read some info about it? theyd come to this article and see your (minority) view that the game is bad.
Even if it is your first impressions of the game - i implore you to continue playing - it is truly a specatcle game that needs to be appreciated more -
and either way - regradless whether ornot you dont run ads on this site - it is a major flame bait website for rabid fanboys. -
also - if you havent sunken in at least a solid 20 hours of gameplay AT LEAST you are not yet fit to write a view on it.

It sounds like you barely cracked the plastic. Why waste people’s time if you can’t spend at least 10 hours playing the game to give it a fair review? I sincerely hope you are not paid to do this…

Woah people settle down. It was his first impressions. Two keywords there.. “his” meaning it’s his own personal opinion and if you are dumb enough to argue about someones OPINION then you should jump off of a high building or something because nobody’s listening. Second keyword is “first” meaning he hasn’t gotten to the core of the game yet but this is opinion on it thus far. The last two paragraphs in his sentence should have been reason enough for you to see that he knows that he has barely scratched the surface of the game.
And @R he posted it so this can be a discussion about peoples opinions on the game, not a discussion on why his opinion is bad.
The only part I agree with is that the title could have been chosen better.
Now on to the true purpose of this article, sharing my opinion:
All right I rented the game and played it for about a week. Yes the graphics should have been better but I guess they were too lazy to upgrade their engine that they used in Oblivion. The gameplay was okay as well, so many aspects that you can control, the skill points and perk system that they offer is so in depth it’s unbelievable. I felt the storyline was pretty weak, a boy looking for his pops yawn. Anyway the time you could spend in this game is crazy but nonetheless it was easy for me to return the thing because I never really felt that I was going to leave anything behind in doing so.

Wow…what a waste of a review. First, try using some punctuation and writing like a real journalist instead of writing in small thoughts. Second, don’t review something unless you’ve at least played it and have done more than scratch the surface. I can’t believe how many “reviews” I read anymore by people who don’t even play the game. TRY FINISHING A GAME AND THEN LETTING US KNOW HOW IT WAS! This review tells me NOTHING.
