Just so everyone knows that there is a brand new FIFA 09 update for the PS3, the Fifa 09 PS3 update patch fixes now detailed.
The fixes include Fixed side-stepping issue on lofted through balls, Improved advantage rule: fixed goals being called back for free kicks, Improved number assigning in Manager Mode, Allowed up to 8 user-controlled teams in Tournament Mode, Removed ability to bring custom teams into Online ranked matches, Fixed Stadium 23.Maj lag issue and Fixed join issue in Online Team Play Lobbies.

When you say custom teams can not be used to play games online, does that apply to teams used in manager mode? And using players that you’ve bought?

When you put your game in the PS3 it will automatically download the update before you are able to play, assuming you are connected to the internet.
These updates are a good start however the main one I was to see is the fixing of the crash in manager mode, when it happens you sometimes cannot progress for days and it has happened to me 3 times now
Also selecting the shirt numbers would be great why did they change this?
Being able to use your players in deals for new ones would be cool.
Finally the russian premier league added!! I want alan dzagoev in my team!!
