Available today is the SingStar PS3 backwards compatibility patch, this means that all those that gets the patch will be able to switch between the Sony PS3 and Sony PS2 SingStar discs.
You will be able to switch disc without the need of quitting the game, this was indeed mentioned at the Leipzig Game Convention and true to their word it is here.
The patch will automatically download as soon as you put the game in, this is great news and we want to know what you think. Please let us know in the comments area below. Thanks

…singstar..hmmm…ok sony if guitar hero and rock band can have a micraphone and sing, and they have guitars drums, banjos, all sorts of instuments…why is sony… that has the cabability to fit the world in that machine, only have the ability to sing….why not sing star with instruments…. as an exclusive this was embarrissing.!
please some one explain to me,,,
example:
if i have a party and i have chips in this party….across the street there having another party with chips and soda and candy and baloons and rice beans meat pork ribs.
which would you Prefer?

Not a valid argument Vinni.
Not everyone wants all those things, just like I might not like the other people at the ‘party across the street’.
What you need to do is set up your own games company and design and develop the game you think people want and go into competition with SINGSTAR. That’s how business works!
Just because you want all those things, doesn’t mean that they have to provide. Also, SINGSTAR is a lot cheaper then the ROCK BAND and GUITAR HERO, therefore more people are more then likely going to buy it over the other more expensive options.
There is a thing in the consumer world is called ‘choice’. I for one like it.

Thats because none of them work with thei new patch. Not on the New PS3 anyway. Its Bogus info. Poor research.

But seriously, Rock Band is great at what it does, Singstar is doing something similiar, but different enough where it is fun in it’s own way making a whole new party game available.
And who doesn’t love music? Another music game means more to love… unless you’re talking about Konami’s Rock Revolution, cause that game sucks the life out of all who dare play it.
