  As much as you look like your trying to make peace, your hate for Microsoft isn’t very well hidden. In your post your asking EVERYONE to be friendly about it all, and that people are aloud to have an opinion, yet the title of the post is very aggressive towards people that don’t like the PS3. Very hypocritical indeed. If your going to come up with one of these type of articles at least make everyone who reads it welcome.

  No, let’s slag them off. I’m sick of hearing about how bad the PS3 is. I’ve used PSN on my PS3 since launch and it’s changed a lot since the start. I’ve tried Xbox Live and I have to ask why they think it’s worth £40 for a year. You can count on M$ continuing their negative press campaign against the PS3, their 2009 exclusive line-up is pretty weak so they have to slate someone else. Read some new comments by chief M$ fanboy Peter Molyneux who’s having another pop at anything non 360. Having played Fable 2 (and completed it in hours), Lionhead have got nothing to shout about. And if anyone says there is no difference between blu-ray and DVD they have to ask why does the 360 have an HDMI port and you can download HD movies?

  PS3 is so far the best piece of hardware on the market (consol whise) the online servis isn’t so good now and again (especilly in Europe) but it will be better. Using windows for a long time now and well don’t have anything against Xbox just don’t like Microsoft becouse of bad experience

  Now every article on this site begins with the word now, I don’t mind at all, it’s all the damn comma splices that ruin any sense of professionalism.

  You might get a few hits from incongruent titles like this, but it won’t last unless you learn some basic writing and tone.

  That being said, I love this site. It’s not even close to professional or logically sound, but it sure is hilarious.

  Did you even read the articles you left links for? All of your claims as to Bluray drives, PS4 canceled and closure of SCEI are no where to be found on the Internet, let alone the links YOU posted. Since all you’re just full of feces, I’ll know to never listen to what you have to say, ever.

  If they make any cut backs, I’m sure the cell phone, memory stick, and battery development will be the first ones to go.

  The 360 is very good for the hardcore gamer and the wii is good for kids and the family but I think the ps3 is for everyone with hardcore games and kid games like little big planet and family games like singstar also with web browsing and your able to watch bluray movies all in one.

Hate the fanboys not the consoles and writer get the f*** over yourself, your not goodlooking, your sad and the majority of your threads suck hairy gorrila balls, I am one of the lucky ones who recieved a ps3 even in the heat of the …. (I can not think straight I am freezing, bear with me a minute ………………………………) credit crunch, thats it, and am currently saving up for a 360 they both have downfalls and they both have exclusives, just play and enjoy your games. Do not get me wrong a year ago I would have put my life on the line to defend the honour of the ps3 when it was the obvious underdog, but times change.

  I am board of all this BS. 360 owners touting how their console is the best at this, best at that, anyone would think they are bitter about somthing.

  Each system has it’s own strengths and weaknesses. I own both 360 and ps3 and know for myself. Judging by the unjust, unfounded comments, 360 fanboys must be moronic baffoons. (do 360 sites have PS3 fanboys doing the same or is it one way traffic? which is telling in itself)

  For instance just to take up one point by a said, ‘moronic baffoon’ which states that 360 is best for movies, ever tried watching a DVD on a 360, what kind of useless interface and control scheme is that! and again, films are much better on blue ray, downloaded HD films are a OK but not in the same league. Also to get netflix you need a gold live account ($$$) then a netflix account ($$$) and then hopefully you have a fast internet connection ($$$) that does not have bandwidth caps ($$$) it all adds up, and in the end you do not have a physical version that you can say you own and watch again when you want or take along to a friends house to watch. On top of that if your Hard drive is full you will not be watching anything!

  As for LIVE I have had it, 360 owners always say how LIVE is so much better, how exactly is it sooo much better? does every other 360 owner have a different LIVE to me? It is all just more unfounded BS.

  True gamers, or at least gamers who have been mashing buttons for a number of years will agree that Sony is better for the gaming industry than Microsoft. 2008 was a more exciting year on the PS3 and 2009 just looks set to repeat that.

  Sony is far more active in the area of progressing the gaming medium forward, innovating new ideas, products and taking a few risks. Microsoft on the other hand are always playing catchup and copycat. Remember when the 360 was released? It was rushed, had a very high failure rate, no HDMI, no optical output, did not support 1080. Hardly a forward looking next-gen HD gaming machine.

  The only goal is to dominate the market and make more money, why do you think they advertise a console at such cheap prices? because when you get it home, it is then or soon after that you realise that you need to spend yet more money to do all the great things you were mislead to believe it could do out of the box..e.g Hard drives, wifi adaptors, batteries or charging stations, HD-DVD drives and of course your Live account! All vastly overpriced but the 360 owner is locked in to the microsoft product line and has no other options.

  If Sony and Nintendo left the gaming arena then it would get bland and stale quite quick, with just the same games brought out again and again, the difference being that they are a shinier and on new hardware.

  Anyway I remember arguing about which was better the Atari ST or Commodore Amiga, I wasted too much time then as I am now. Think I shall just get back to what is is all about, playing games and having fun.

  Why do people keep saying that Resistance 2 is a top selling game when it hasn’t even come close to 1 million sold ?

  failstation….PS3 DOES need games on Blu Ray because it needs much more code to create the same game as 360. A game that needs 7 gigs on DVD for 360 needs at least 10 gigs to run on PS3 so they can’t keep many games to one DVD.

  Not many people want to waste 30 to 40 dollars on buying a blu ray movie and restock their library. Most movies these day’s aren’t even worth buying.

  Jim - You look at the 360 from one point of view. Although people may realize they want to upgrade to get more out of the 360, they at least have the choice to spend what and when they want.

  Most people would rather have options then get everything crammed down their throats.

  In these tough times, going cheaper with an option to upgrade when you are ready makes the most sense to consumers.

  Firstly, code is small, code is well code, it’s text, any idea how much code is needed to fill up even 1mb, let alone gb’s worth, I don’t know how the games are packaged for each system. Even if such a large discrepancy exists it probably just a something like a set of library files that are their by default on the disc image, it will not be “the code”. Lets just hope that 360 games never need more than 7gb otherwise you will have to start swapping dvd’s in the middle of games, imagine what GTA would be like if you had to swap discs for each island.

  I just used movie playback for an example of how it is easily claimed by 360 fanboys that troll this site that it is the best at this, best at that, without even knowing what movie playback is like on the ps3 and no arguments to back the claim up, other than a repetitive Netflix chant.

  As Netflix is not available via Live in my country I have no way of knowing how it works, so I thought the film was downloaded to the HDD the same as other contend on live. It does still however require you to have a fast internet connection that is not capped. I wonder how people with slow connections manage? Anyway Netflix is not available for the majority of 360 users so the argument is irrelevant.

  Best means different things to different people I suppose. For me, the best way to watch a movie, is to hear it with the highest quality multi channel sound while watching the closest reproduction possible to the master copy, all delivered in an easy to use, fast, clean user interface.

  I have a good home theatre setup and the ps3 compliments it perfectly, giving me what I define as the best possible movie playback experience.

  Well during a credit crunch paying for online will not help people feeling the pinch, the TCO is higher for the 360.

  As it happens at the moment I need to upgrade the hard drives in both my 360 and my PS3, so I may as well use this as an example. If I went to Amazon now and made an ordere, I would pay £84.99 for a 120gb HDD for the 360, no larger sizes are available from them.
  The HDD for the PS3 I will buy will cost £49.99 and has three times the capacity with 320gb of space.
  As for choice, what choice do I get with the 360?

  If i made a console i’d start by making the cpu a 6 quad core processor with the clock speed at 4.5 ghz then i’d make the gpu which can handle 745mhz, that has 200hertz, can support full 1080p hd and has 2gb of ram sheared to the gpu with hdr added on as well then i’d put 3gb of system ram in and add a deatacheble 2.5″ sata hdd in for quick and cheap upgrades after that i’d deal with the disc drive and create a new disc format for games which can store up to 100gb on a single layer disc with disc read speeds of up to x16 with a data transfer rate of 3.2gb per a second for fast loading times plus a fast and speedy online service that’s simple use and suppirior to live(which is shit hahaha) andadd motion sensors for unique gameplay with online storage added for downloads so there you have it my version of a console that would be possible in 4yrs time or more.

  MS stripped their “base” system down to nothing in order to sell it cheap. Why does that matter? Game developers make games to play on the base system with no hdd. That puts a limit on what can be done with the games…..as in using outdated dvd. At least Sony left all of the major components on their base system so developers don’t have to follow restricted guidlines. You have to put batteries in your controllers? Jeez….

  Sensible people, many of the ‘children’ arguing points for the Xbox 360 (and some for the PS3) are just that - children. They don’t pay any bills, only worry about school, and cannot comprehend the difference of burning cash for non-tangible items. They don’t understand or even want to put forth effort in trying to make sense of investments.

  No point in arguing with a child who simply puts one finger in each ear and recites “LA LA LA” to drown you out every time you make an intelligent statement of fact or valid point for either system.

  Don’t waste your time. Obviously they don’t have any quality games to keep them busy, since most of them spend all their time trolling PS3 sites.

  maybe 360 is not the best machine out there but it’s not meaning that it is PS3,actually 360 is for playing games not watching movies…however with netflix there is no word to say but lets remind ourselves playing RE5 on 360=60$+200$=260$ while Playing RE5 on PS3=60$+400$=460$ so when every one (who want to play games) can play favorite titles with 260$ why they spend 460$ to play usualy lower graphic level?
  this is the fact that sony is missing

  360 has more games, more 70-99% reviewed games on metacritic, a more feature rich online, and leading PS3 by an 8 million global user base.

  I think its a matter of 360 fans teelling that to PS3 fans, making them understand that they are supporting a last place console.
